Privacy policy

The controller of personal data collected through this site is RTCH Foundry.

For anything in this policy, including any request about your data, contact info@rtchfoundry.com.

Information you give us. When you submit the contact form we receive your name, work email address, and your message. You may optionally add your company name and a range describing your current annual software spend. That is the whole form.

Usage analytics. We use a third-party website analytics service to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, referring site, approximate location derived from a truncated IP address, and device and browser characteristics. We do not use it to identify you personally.

Technical logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data, including IP address, user agent and timestamp, for security, abuse prevention and reliability.

There are no user accounts on this site, we take no payments through it, and we do not ask for or want special-category data such as health, biometric or political information. Please do not send it.

• To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal. Basis: taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
• To understand and improve the site through aggregate analytics. Basis: our legitimate interest in maintaining an effective website. Analytics runs when you open the site; you can stop it at any time using the methods in section 7.
• To keep the site secure and available, and to prevent abuse of the contact form. Basis: our legitimate interests.

We do not sell your data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects for you.

We deliberately keep the number of systems touching your data small. We rely on a few categories of service provider, each engaged under contract and permitted to use the data only to provide their service to us:

• a hosting and content delivery provider, which serves this site and processes the technical logs described above;
• an email delivery provider, which passes contact form submissions to our inbox; and
• a website analytics provider, which processes the usage data described above.

We can tell you which providers we currently use on request. We may also disclose data where we are legally required to, or to establish or defend legal claims. We do not share your data with advertising networks or data brokers.

Some of our providers may process data outside the country you are in. Where personal data is transferred out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on an appropriate safeguard recognised under applicable data protection law, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or an adequacy decision covering the receiving country.

• Contact enquiries. Kept while we are in correspondence with you, and afterwards only for as long as we need them for our business records or to meet a legal obligation. We review enquiries periodically and delete what we no longer need.
• Analytics. Retained for the period configured with our analytics provider, which is measured in months rather than years.
• Technical logs. Retained by our hosting provider for a short operational period.

Our analytics provider sets a small number of cookies in your browser so that one visitor and one session can be told apart from another. These are used for measurement only. We set no advertising cookies and run no advertising or retargeting pixels.

You can prevent analytics from running by:

• blocking or clearing cookies in your browser settings;
• enabling tracking protection or a content blocker in your browser; or
• using your browser's private browsing mode, which discards cookies when you close it.

Analytics is not required for the site to work. Blocking it will not affect your ability to read any page or to contact us.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to provide a copy of your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, object to our use of it, or receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

To exercise any of these, email info@rtchfoundry.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law, normally one month. We may need to verify your identity first.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to your national data protection supervisory authority. You are welcome to raise it with us first.

The site is served over HTTPS, and contact form submissions are transmitted over encrypted connections. We keep the number of systems touching your data deliberately small. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us data, contact info@rtchfoundry.com and we will delete it.

We may update this policy. The current version is always published here, with the date it was last changed shown alongside the title. Our Terms of Service govern use of the site more generally.
